Women’s Leadership Series

Course Description

101: Leading from wherever you are

One doesn’t need an official title to be a leader – it is possible to effectively lead from anywhere in an organization. In this two-day course, we will explore leadership and the concept of authority vs. influence. We will examine what makes leaders effective and equally important, what makes them fail.

This course includes a self-assessment, recognizing that we must first understand ourselves before we can effectively lead others. Using a diagnostic tool that has been used by over 7 million people throughout the world, participants will learn their individual leadership strengths and specific strategies to lead with those strengths.

201:

Leading with Purpose

The best leaders inspire us.  The word “inspire” comes from the Latin meaning “to breathe life into.” When you are working toward something that inspires you, it makes you feel more alive.

In this two-day leadership development experience, we will explore how leaders inspire others. We will examine what research from around the world says that people want and need from leaders.

Participants will also take The Everything DiSC Workplace® Assessment to help understand preferences and styles – both in themselves and in others.

After this course, you will be better equipped to achieve teamwork, collaboration, and productivity.

301: Leading through Conflict

Conflict in the workplace is inevitable. When managed well, conflict can be productive, resulting in higher levels of trust and productivity. When managed poorly, conflict can destroy a team.

In this two-day leadership development experience, we will explore conflict in the workplace – what causes it and how do we lead through it?

Participants will take the Everything DiSC® Productive Conflict assessment.  This assessment will help participants improve self-awareness around conflict behaviors. Rather than focus on a step-by- step process for conflict resolution, Everything DiSC Productive Conflict helps learners curb destructive behaviors so that conflict can become more productive, ultimately improving workplace results and relationships.
