
As a seasoned public and private sector leader, Kathy has a proven track record in leading organizational transformation in diverse organizations, from social services to behavioral health and education through operational excellence, equity, and innovation. She has extensive experience designing and implementing strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery. Her expertise in data analytics, performance management, and change management has enabled her to successfully lead complex projects, develop solutions, and achieve measurable results in both the public and private sectors. Kathy has a deep understanding of the opioid crisis and has collaborated with diverse stakeholders to address this critical public health issue. She is passionate about human-centered technology-enabled transformations to improve population outcomes and promote equity. She is confident in her ability to deliver innovative solutions that support multi-state agency and partner collaboration, meeting the evolving needs of our Washington communities. Kathy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and played Division 1 soccer while in college. She was honored and privileged to play on the first US Women’s National Team, including representing the US in the first-ever game on foreign soil. This “first” experience has shaped her beliefs and understanding of individual and team potential, equity, leadership, and commitment. She lives in Washington with her husband, Tim, has a severe fixer-upper compulsion, and enjoys international travel, hiking, and long walks with their husky, Ares.
